The record-breaking 2026 edition of GalAthletics Bellinzona is set to welcome some of the most illustrious names in field events on Sunday, August 30, at the Stadio Comunale. The competition features a lineup boasting 10 newly crowned European champions from Birmingham across 12 scheduled events, along with 7 silver and 7 bronze continental medalists.

The women’s pole vault lineup features a magnificent showdown led by Swiss European Champion Angelica Moser, who will take on American star Sandi Morris, Olympic silver medalist, four-time World silver medalist, and two-time World Indoor Champion. The field also includes Emily Grove, Olivia McTaggart, France’s Marie-Julie Bonnin, World Indoor Champion and Birmingham bronze medalist, and rising star Hana Moll, World U20 Champion.

Joining the men’s discus throw is world record holder Mykolas Alekna of Lithuania, who holds the world record at a distance of 75.56 meters. The Paris 2024 Olympic silver medalist, two-time World silver medalist, and fresh European silver medalist from Birmingham adds supreme power to the circle. Meanwhile, the men’s high jump welcomes Ukraine’s Oleh Doroshchuk, 2026 World and European Indoor Champion and fresh European silver medalist from Birmingham, completing a star-studded lineup for Bellinzona.
