We are happy and proud to announce that GalAthletics Bellinzona has officially joined the Swisstainable sustainability program, achieving the Level I – Committed classification.

This important recognition, promoted by the Swiss Tourism Federation (STV) and Switzerland Tourism, unites businesses and organizations from the tourism sector and major Swiss sporting events under one common goal: to promote a concrete, responsible, and respectful development of our wonderful territory.

In accordance with the spirit of Swisstainable, we do not intend to limit ourselves to generic declarations. Our transition toward a low-impact event manifests itself concretely through three fundamental pillars that characterize our activities:

• Eco-friendly Catering: We offer a wide range of vegetarian, vegan, and zero-kilometer dishes at our catering points for athletes, volunteers, and spectators, thereby reducing the environmental footprint associated with food.
• Promoting Public Transport: We actively encourage the use of public transport to reach Bellinzona’s sports facilities, providing detailed information and facilitating integrated mobility solutions.
• Waste, Digitalization & Resource Reduction: We pursue a reduction in resource consumption by minimizing the production of physical materials (such as programs, tickets, and paper brochures) in favor of fully digital solutions and communications.

The Level I – Committed classification is a starting point for us. We will continue to work with enthusiasm to constantly improve our practices, involving athletes, volunteers, and spectators in this relay race toward a greener future.
