One month away from GalAthletics Bellinzona, scheduled for Sunday, August 30th at the Stadio Comunale, the international meeting is raising its technical level even further.

Following the announcement of Swiss stars Ditaji Kambundji, Audrey Werro, Mujinga Kambundji, Angelica Moser, Ajla Del Ponte, and Ricky Petrucciani, the cast is enriched with some of the biggest names in world athletics.

The discus throw will feature Olympic champion Roje Stona, Olympic and three-time world champion Daniel Ståhl, Olympic bronze medalist Matthew Denny, and Alex Rose. The women’s event will see world runner-up Jorinde Van Klinken, world champion Laulauga Tausaga, and American Cierra Jackson competing.

Nadia Battocletti will be the protagonist in the 1500 meters, ready to chase the Italian record for the distance.

There is also great anticipation for the high jump with JuVaughn Harrison, Jan Štefela, and Erick Portillo. In the 800 meters, local favorite Audrey Werro will challenge Renelle Lamote, Agathe Guillemot, and Addison Wiley, bronze medalist at the 2026 World Indoor Championships.

The 2026 edition will offer, as usual, free entry for Under 16s, the GalAthletics Village with activities and a food area open before and after the meeting, and the possibility of reaching Bellinzona with free public transport throughout Ticino for all ticket holders, plus a 30% discount on trains for everyone arriving from inner Switzerland or Italy.
